Your Circle of Acquaintance

John 1:40 One of the two which heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother.
John 1:41 He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.
John 1:42 And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.
John 1:43 The day following Jesus would go forth into Galilee, and findeth Philip, and saith unto him, Follow me.
John 1:44 Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.
John 1:45 Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.

Each one of them had their own circle of acquaintance.  Each one reached out and shared their Messiah.  Our testimony affects everyone in our own circle.  I believe that Andrew showed excitement when he told Simon Peter about Jesus.  If he was not convinced himself, I don’t think Simon Peter would have come to Jesus that time.  Our attitude shows what and who is reigning in our hearts.  Yes, we are in the stage drama of life.   People cannot see our hearts, but they see how we act and they hear how we talk.  We must be careful what we let people see in us.  What is in our hearts will always somehow manifests itself. Prov. 4:23  It is of utmost importance that we walk close to God and let Him shine his righteousness upon us.

Hello Ms. Rebekah,
You made your site simple yet elegant. The pictures are a nice touch. I see that you have a strong desire to serve God. Now is a good time! I recommend the one true God, Jehovah. He has an important message for all of us: 21 YOU cannot be drinking the cup of Jehovah and the cup of demons; YOU cannot be partaking of "the table of Jehovah" and the table of demons. (1Corinthians 10:21) (NWT)

I missed this .
What can I add to this ? Nothing. I agree totally with you .
Sometimes it is hard to be a true Christian by words , thoughts and acts . However it is the only way to go.

Michael,
I am a lot more in Facebook. nowadays. All my families and friends, pastors and their wives are there. My cousin in the Philippines I have not seen for at least 30 years found me at FB My son is a lot better . :celebrate: The Lord has really been good, Michael. His recuperation is definitely of the Lord. For months, he's been suffering through unbearable shooting nerve pain (Left leg where all his nerves from the spine was severed) that he had to take nerve pill and a pain pill. I went home for my daughter's wedding in July and I saw him tremble and twitch in pain. But not once did he complain or been discouraged spiritually. He repeats his favorite verses over and over when he is in terrible pain. He still keeps teaching his Wednesday Bible Studies in his home. He got tired and run down physically, mentally and emotionally, but his faith in God just kept on. God used him to teach me about faith. One would think that he knows enough about faith, from reading and experience, then God shows you one with greater faith.
Again, thank you for your concern and prayers. He still have 2 more operations to go as far as I know. I will copy/paste my daughter-in-laws recent update to you site. Thank you for you concern. Angela keeps the update and the whole story of his accident at rodneyspears.org

Thanks for your answer above and for Angela update in your comment Rebekha ;
I am glad your son is home and makes successfully physical therapy for his knee and his entire body . But this becomes good after a long time of unbearable pain . He is a courageous man and yes his faith is strong and now even more .
What a relief for you all . But also what a trial !
I am also on facebook but only nominally . I started asked by a Xanga friend . But quickly I realized I could not handle two websites at once  . So I have not any activity on facebook anymore because I prefer Xanga that is a real blog . Being on Xanga since 2001 I can find aagin the history of my family and the evolution of my topics and interests .
I understand you love facebook that is rather a social website .
Thanks again for your answer.
Love

Michel

Hi Michael,
Yes, Facebook is like a club where everyone meets. Have a glimpse of what's going on in the life of your friends and families especially those who are separated by distance.
But It made me think also of what you said that you do not want to loose the history you have blogged for years. I have written some in the past of what is going on here in our work in Peru. We have a monthly letter that we sent out, aside from that, day to day moments is not recorded unless I write something about it. Well, you really made me thin. Thanks. Have a nice day.
